Why is it useful to use a lead sleeve that says that your dog alerts in a specific way?
Members of the public often think a dog wearing a vest may be unruly when in fact their handler is about to have, or having a medical episode. Some dogs are trained to alert their human by poking the handler with their nose (a nose "boop") or offer a paw, but others are trained to bark or to jump up to alert. 
 
Dogs are trained for this behaviour so this allows you to alert the public of what they may potentially see without disclosing your medical conditions.
